Why this blog?

A couple of years ago, I developed an interest in organic gardening and sustainable farming . One thing led to another and a few books later I started pondering on the global food system and the economics surrounding food security. Around the same time a family member got diagnosed with a GI disorder that got me thinking about diets and health.

'Food' suddenly became an obsession with me. The more I researched, the more I was horrified at the real state of affairs and how much we have lost control of our own food choices. This blog is my journey as I try to sift through all the (mis)information available and make educated decisions and take back control of my food choices. My hope that that it will encourage you to do the same.
